Ale již od mala byly rozhodnutá stát se herečkou, a proto absolvovala několik prestižních hereckých kurzů. Díky nim získala v 16 letech roli v seriálu H2O just add water (H2O, stačí přidat vodu), ve kterém hraje mořskou pannu Cleo Sertori. Tento seriál jí zaručil spoustu fanoušků a popularitu. Je to vlastně její první role v televizi, ale když dostala roli Cleo nebyla moc dobrou plavkyní a tak musela tvrdě trénovat aby si svou roli udržela
Phoebe dotočila druhou sérii H2O a už v této době se natáčí série třetí. Doufejme, že její sláva ještě poroste. Phoebe měří 166 cm a váží 60 kg. Je nejmladší herečka H2o.V roku 1989 v Sydney prišla n svet ďalšia morská panna,PHOEBE TONKIN.Už v 4 rokoch ju začal baviť tanec- hip hop,dobový tanec, ale aj klasický balet. Phoebe pobehala mnoho kurzov pre nádejných hercov po Austrálii,navštevovala dokonca známu školu v Balmorale,zameranú na drámu,pričom si,samozrejme,zahrala v každom predstavení.ktoré sa nacvičilo.Je najmladším členom hereckého castu H2O a jej rola Cleo je jej prvou skúsenosťou pred kamerou!Vek: 17 rokov.
